I'll just let the pictures try and convey the beauty of the sakura. They still don't capture the sheer magic of being showered on by dancing petals while walking through the sakura tunnels, but hopefully they give you an idea of just how humbling it was to be in yet another one of nature's masterpieces.

James and Manki invited me on their annual sakura bike adventure, thus I got to experience the sakuras in this way. And it was even better because our 1 hr bike ride was rewarded not only by the flowers, but also by one of the best ramen bowls I've ever had. It was a Kasaoka style ramen, and the broth was so rich but clean. It's rare to find a 100% chicken based bowl, but they did it. And did it so. well.
Hanami huddles! Hanami = flower (hana・花) seeing (mi・見)which is when friends and family have a picnic under the sakura trees. A cherished spring tradition.
