Today marks the end of May, and as you’ve most definitely heard at almost every graduation speech, “with every ending comes a new beginning.” And the “beginning” that sits with me today is the beginning of my last month in Yakage. I would be a sad, broken record if I were to write my feels, so instead...here is May through my camera lens! From golden week earthquakes to Mallea VIP visits (Yakage cream soda and Hiroshima charred salads) to Kobe's nikuman queues and Ghibli grandness to curry blanket book fairs to rice round TWO…this month came and went as sneakily as spring’s handoff to summer. As always, so much more happened in the “sukimas”, the “in-betwens” of the days, but without further ado hopefully the array gives a taste of my merry May (I'm really going at it with the alliteration, huh.)
